Teens (Grade 6
& Up)
HERE supports
a variety of educational
activities throughout
the year specifically
geared for the
middle and high
school grades.
In addition to
serving the educational
challenges that
arise in teaching
these grades, it
is our hope that
these activities
will also foster
relationships between
the middle and
high school homeschooling
community.
This is only a draft
of ideas to the year.
We have many more
ideas and are open
to your suggestions
as well.
For 2007-2008,
we are planning the
following events:
TEEN COMIC OPERA
November 7, 2007
Join us for the
dress rehearsal
of the Pirates
of Penzance. Sung
entirely in English
(thus no subtitles),
the truely American
Opera is a delight
to behold. It's also a lot of laughs. Enjoy
an evening at the
theater with your
homeschool friends.
TEEN CHRISTMAS
MISSIONS
December
Christmas is an
amazing time to
give back to the
community. Stay
tuned for plans
to help support
a local mission
during one of their
busiest times of
the year.
TEEN First Aid
/ CPR Certification
TBD
At our teens request,
we will be offering
a Red Cross Certification
course for First
Aid / CPR. Stay
tuned for more
details.
TEEN WEBSITE
DESIGN WORKSHOP
January / February

asked to learn
more about the
basics of website
design. Our very
own webmaster will
be sharing a bit
of history, coding,
and graphics to
give our budding
designers a place
to begin.
TEEN CREEK CRUISE
May 22, 2008
Join us as we
explore the last
undeveloped salt
marsh in Virginia,
Beach on board
the Rudee Explorer.
We'll also be enjoying lunch together.
